My name is Laura Johnson, and I am truly blessed to be the Case Manager for Family Promise of Aiken County.

I was born in Greensboro, Ga. and I have been residing in Aiken, SC for the last thirteen years. I obtained a Bachelor of Science, from Georgia College & State University. I spent thirteen years with the Georgia Dept. Of Corrections, with seven of those years working in case management. After thirteen years with the department, I accepted the call to attend Columbia International University School of Missions’, Master’s Program. I obtained a Certificate of Ministry and proceeded to embark on the next thirteen years in full time missions, with the Salvation Army. I spent those years assisting families in obtaining safe affordable housing. Most of all, as a Salvation Army Mission Specialist, I was given the opportunity to live in the communities that I was assigned for ministry. I served in Columbia, SC for two years and eleven in Aiken County with a focus on building lasting relationships with those in need of assistance. While in Aiken working with the needs of the community, I completed a Master of Leadership degree from Trevecca University.

I have two sons, Jacob, 26, a graduate of Full Sail University, and Joshua, 36, a graduate of University of Memphis. Joshua is married and I have two grandchildren Jaya, 3, and Jordan, 9. I enjoy reading and walking in my free time.
