Daisy Gilstrap

Daisy is a Social Worker. Throughout her career, her husband’s (now deceased) job relocated many times, affording her opportunities to serve and work with children and families in many large urban cities across the United States. A few years ago, after more than thirty-five wonderful years of service, she retired. Though she no longer reports to work daily, her passion for serving people has not
diminished. Over the years, she has noticed that reported statistics for family homelessness are continuing to rise. In her heart, Daisy so believes that every child deserves a place to call home. For this reason, Daisy is so happy to join with Family Promise of Aiken County as we work toward meeting this challenge.

Daisy has an adult daughter and a grand fur baby, both of whom she adores. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting gemstone jewelry, reading, and serving as a proud member of Second Baptist Church of Aiken, South Carolina.
